Many people aren’t aware that Jack’s wife is recording artist “Dee Fisk”. Her singing career began at the age of four in a local talent contest in Leavenworth, Kansas, where she was born. She started appearing on the Red Foley television show. She recorded her first record at Hi Records in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 16.

She began touring with John Mayall, and toured with him from 1974-1976. She recorded three albums with him:
1. New Year, New Band, New Company
2. Notice to Appear
3. Banquet in Blues
Also, John Mayall – “Driving On 1975 – 1982.

In 1976 she recorded her own album in New Orleans, produced by Allen Toussant with some of The Neville Brothers playing on it. She also played with her own band across the county.

Dee has performed with other artists such as: Joe Cocker, The Average White Band, Robin Trower, Greg Allmond, Rufus Thomas, Eric Burden, Jeff Beck and many others. She sang at the W. C. Handy Blues Awards in 1990 and 1991.

She has also appeared on Beale Street from 1989-1993 at the Rum Boogie Café with Don McMinn and The Rum Boogie Band. While on Beale Street she recorded a live album. Dee’s daughter Lorina Rae has also sung on Beale Street, and currently performs with her husband’s (Jack Tipton) band locally and around Memphis, Tennessee.

Although most of their time is now taken up with the broom business, everyone still enjoys their music.
